1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a binding legal agreement between you ("User", "Landlord", or "Property Manager") and My Business Pvt Ltd ("Company", "we", "our", or "us"), governing your download, access, and use of the RentIt Android application (Application ID: pk.com.mybusiness.rentit) and any related services.
By downloading, installing, or using RentIt, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the application.
2. Software License & Permitted Use
My Business Pvt Ltd grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, and royalty-free license to use RentIt on your personal or company-owned Android devices solely for lawful property management, tenant administration, digital rent agreement generation, and rental accounting purposes.
You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works of RentIt or its source code, except to the extent permitted by applicable laws.
3. Rent Agreement & Legal Document Disclaimer
RentIt provides digital tenancy agreement generators and contract templates for your convenience. While designed to incorporate standard tenancy provisions (such as lease term, security deposit, default clauses, and escalation rates):
- RentIt does not provide formal legal representation, attorney services, or conveyancing advice.
- Tenancy regulations, stamp duty requirements, registration mandates (e.g. Punjab Rented Premises Act 2009, Sindh Rented Premises Ordinance, Islamabad Rent Restriction Act, or corresponding provincial/state statutes) vary across jurisdictions.
- Users are solely responsible for ensuring that generated agreements are printed on requisite non-judicial legal stamp paper, signed, witnessed, and registered with local rent tribunals or police verification desks as mandated by local laws.
4. Financial Ledger & Calculations
RentIt includes financial calculation utilities for rent collections, maintenance debits, occupancy ratios, and net profitability calculations. While our algorithms are tested for mathematical accuracy:
The calculations are based entirely on user-entered values. RentIt is not a registered chartered accounting firm or tax advisory service. You should reconcile figures with qualified accounting professionals for official tax reporting and corporate filings.
5. User Data & Device Backup Responsibility
Because RentIt runs without requiring mandatory cloud server accounts, all property, unit, tenant identity, and transaction data reside in local storage on your Android device.
You are solely responsible for regularly backing up your generated PDF agreements and device data. My Business Pvt Ltd is not liable for data loss arising from device loss, damage, operating system upgrades, or clearing app cache/storage.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property rights in and to RentIt, including but not limited to the codebase, user interface, brand assets, logos, icons, graphics, layout, and software design, are the exclusive property of My Business Pvt Ltd. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall My Business Pvt Ltd, its directors, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of rental revenue, tenant dispute costs, data loss, or business interruption, arising from or related to your use of RentIt.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Pakistan.
